Oakline is private shared housing for adult women who live independently and manage their own daily needs. We provide housing only — no clinical services, no case management, no supervision. Just a clean, furnished, all inclusive home.

Women Seeking Stable Housing

Any independent adult woman who needs a clean, furnished, all inclusive home in a structured, women only environment. No prior housing history required.

SSI and SSDI Recipients

We accept Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Our base rate is fully transparent — standard inclusions are clearly listed and optional upgrades are always disclosed upfront.

Female Veterans

Women who have served deserve a dignified, stable place to land. Oakline provides independent housing for female veterans building their civilian lives on their own terms.

Women Maintaining a Drug Free Lifestyle

Oakline homes are drug and alcohol free environments. We do not provide recovery services or supervision — residents maintain their own lifestyle independently within a structured, sober household.

Older Adult Women

Affordable, all inclusive shared housing for independent older women who value community, a consistent mailing address, and a worry free living environment without the burden of managing bills.

Women Referred by Caseworkers

We partner with social workers, housing coordinators, and program managers across Chicagoland. If a caseworker has a client who is ready for independent living, Oakline is ready to receive the referral.

Important: Oakline provides housing only. We do not provide medical care, therapy, supervision, case management, or any clinical services. Residents must be capable of independent living and managing their own daily personal care. Any outside support services are arranged independently by the resident through their own providers.

    Any adult woman looking for safe, affordable, structured housing is welcome to apply. We serve veterans, seniors, women in sober living, women with special needs, and those receiving SSI or SSDI benefits. If you can live independently and take care of your own daily needs, Oakline may be a great fit.

    What utilities and amenities are included in the monthly rate?

    Your monthly rate covers rent, all utilities (gas, electric, water), cable television, telephone, and all household supplies. There are no hidden or surprise costs. An optional shared pantry program is available separately for residents who want access to basic staples they prepare themselves.

    Do you accept SSI and SSDI?

    Yes. We proudly work with women receiving SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance). We also work with representative payee companies and family members who pay on a resident's behalf.

    How quickly can I move in?

    In many cases, move-in can happen within 24 to 48 hours of approval. We move fast to make sure women are not without stable housing any longer than necessary.

    Is this a drug and alcohol free home?

    Yes, absolutely. All Oakline properties are strictly drug and alcohol free. This rule protects every resident and ensures a safe, calm, and respectful environment for everyone in the home.

    What kind of housing is this exactly?

    Oakline is private, all inclusive shared housing. We provide housing only. We do not provide medical care, therapy, or clinical services of any kind. Residents live as members of a household and manage their own daily personal care. Any outside support services come from a resident's own providers.
